Unlock Your Child's Potential with Kindermusik!

The first five years of a child’s life are the most formative. Your child is ready to learn from birth, and their brain develops faster in the first five years than it will at any other time. Each day brings a fresh start and a chance to nurture your child's fullest potential and build a solid foundation for learning. Your child's path to success starts right here. Music is vitally important in supporting very young children in the early stages of language development, learning patterns, motor skills development, listening skills, and self-expression. Join a Kindermusik class with your child and discover why we are the most trusted music and movement program for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. And remember, as we always say, a good beginning never ends.

Why Choose Kindermusik?

Powerful Learning Through Musical Play
Our research-based curriculum offers children a dynamic and integrated learning experience. In every Kindermusik class, you’re welcomed into a playful and nurturing environment where your child will experience music of varying styles, genres, and cultures. These classes allow children—and their caregivers—to gather for a fun-filled learning experience. They’ll interact with other children and engage in movement, dance, instrument play, rhythm, and vocal activities that develop far more than just music skills.

Joyful Educational Experiences
Kindermusik classes are designed to build confidence, strengthen family connections, and help children meet developmental milestones through the power of music. Our sessions are not just about learning music; they’re about making joyful, lasting memories.

Kindermusik Baby Classes Age 0-1

Kindermusik offers a multitude of benefits for babies, fostering early brain development and creating a strong foundation for future learning. Through engaging musical activities, babies enhance their sensory and motor skills, develop listening and language abilities, and strengthen the bond with their caregivers. The soothing melodies and rhythmic patterns stimulate neural pathways, promoting cognitive growth and emotional well-being. As babies coo, wiggle, and respond to music, they begin to recognize sounds, rhythms, and patterns, laying the groundwork for speech, literacy skills, and musical competence. In a nurturing and playful environment, Kindermusik provides the perfect opportunity for babies to explore, discover, and thrive.

Kindermusik Toddler Classes Ages 1-3

Kindermusik provides an ideal environment for toddlers to explore and develop their burgeoning skills through music and movement. These classes enhance their cognitive abilities by introducing concepts such as rhythm, melody, and dynamics in a playful and engaging manner. Toddlers also benefit socially and emotionally as they interact with peers, learning to share, take turns, and express themselves. Physical coordination is improved through dancing and playing instruments, which also support fine and gross motor skills development. Additionally, the structured yet flexible activities in Kindermusik classes help toddlers build confidence, foster creativity, and nurture their innate curiosity, making learning both effective and enjoyable.

Kindermusik Preschool Classes Ages 3-5

Kindermusik offers preschoolers an enriching environment where their musical creativity, enthusiasm, and skills can flourish. We offer both age-specific classes with a piano focus and mixed-age classes for preschoolers. In mixed-age classes, preschoolers often take on leadership roles, guiding younger children and demonstrating activities, which bolsters their confidence and sense of responsibility. This leadership fosters social and emotional development, enhancing their ability to cooperate, communicate, and empathize with others. Additionally, preschoolers refine their cognitive skills by learning complex musical concepts such as rhythm patterns and melodic sequences, while physical activities like dancing and instrument play improve their coordination and fine motor skills. Kindermusik provides a holistic learning experience that supports preschoolers' overall growth and prepares them for future academic success, music lessons, and life achievements

Kinder Keys Age 3.5-5

Our 45-minute music classes are the perfect option for Kindermusik graduates to continue their music education. The focus is on the piano due to its accessibility, but these classes also prepare students for any future vocal or instrument study. With up to six kids per class and two teachers, each child receives plenty of individual attention, thriving in our fun, engaging, and supportive environment. We nurture their natural curiosity and creativity, helping them fall in love with music from the start.

Our research-based curriculum includes dancing, chanting, listening, singing, instrument play, movement, imaginative play, and games, all designed to build a strong music foundation and healthy piano techniques. From day one, kids start playing short pieces on the piano, making the learning process immediate and enjoyable. Join us for group sessions that encourage social learning and creative exploration, ending with performances that build confidence and a lifelong love for music!

Our two daughters love taking piano with Luanne! Both began in first grade as beginners (they had never played before) and as parents we have been incredibly impressed with how patient Luanne is with our daughters and their learning styles. They have both grown leaps and bounds in their musical knowledge and it is exciting to listen to our girls play the piano all the time at home, and to listen to them begin to experiment with their own notes to make their own music. They are always excited to take their piano lessons. Some added benefits I have noticed through their time in Luanne's Music Studio is an increased ability for our children to focus on a learning activity (not just piano) as well as an increased amount of personal responsibility and pride in their own work. We could not be happier with all they have learned with Luanne, and they could not be happier with how much fun they have!  Ashley

  • What age groups do you teach?
We offer piano lessons for children starting from as young as 4 years old. Our programs are tailored to suit different age groups and skill levels.
  • How often should my child practice?
For all our programs initially the emphasis is always on the listening, which naturally inspires them to play and improvise and create at the instrument. As they progress there is a gradual build toward formal practicing of 15 to 30 minutes a day. As students advance we recommend that their practice time increase.
  • Do students need to have their own piano or keyboard at home?
For Kinder Keys, having a piano is recommended but not required. For all other piano lessons, students should have access to a piano or keyboard at home for regular practice. If purchasing a digital piano it is very important to purchase one with 88 fully weighted piano action keys. Please contact us for specific recommendations.
  • What are the benefits of group piano lessons compared to private lessons?
Social Learning Environment: Students can learn from each other, share experiences, and stay motivated through peer support. Enhanced Motivation: Learning with peers encourages students to practice and progress together, making the learning process more enjoyable. Teamwork and Cooperation: Group activities foster a sense of community, teaching students how to work together and support each other. Improved Listening Skills: Playing in a group helps students develop better listening skills as they learn to harmonize and play in sync with others. Confidence Building: Performing in front of peers and participating in group activities helps build confidence and reduces performance anxiety. Ensemble Playing: Students get the opportunity to play as part of a group, which is a valuable skill for future musical endeavors.
  • What is the Music Moves for Piano curriculum?
The Music Moves for Piano is a piano method based on Music Learning Theory, is an innovative approach to piano instruction that emphasizes developing musicianship through audiation, the ability to hear and understand music in the mind even when there’s no physical sound. It's like thinking in a language and is essential for developing musical understanding and creativity in your child. It plays a crucial role in developing their musical memory, pitch accuracy, and rhythmic precision. This skill allows your child to predict musical patterns, improvise, and compose music in their mind. https://musicmovesforpiano.com
  • What is the class size for group piano lessons?
Kinder Keys classes can have up to 6 students, while other group piano classes typically consist of up to 4 students. This allows each student to receive individual attention while benefiting from the group learning experience.
  • Can my child switch to private lessons if needed?
Absolutely. Depending on availability, if we determine that a student would benefit more from private lessons, we can discuss transitioning them to one-on-one instruction.
  • What happens if we need to miss a lesson?
There are no makeups for private lessons. For group lessons, students can attend a different group session if there is an opening that same week.
